BUILDING DEPARTMENT FEE SCHEDULE
Notes.
Effective August 1, 2006*, the following fees will be in effect.
Fees for new construction of buildings, structures, or parts thereof, will be based on the following minimums and the R.S. Means Costs Per Square Foot (current year edition).
The Commissioner and/or designee reserves the right to question all construction costs. A copy of the final Application and Certification for Payment (AIA Document) must be submitted if so requested.
All work started without a permit - fee will be doubled.
Reinspection fee - $30.00 (paid in advance, after two failed inspections)
Only the Town shall be exempt from application fees.
Residential Uses
Application fee of $30.00 plus,
$10.00 per thousand dollars estimated cost of the construction based on the R.S. Means Guidebook.
This shall include construction of/on single and two family dwellings only.
(Minimum fee of $30.00)
Business/Industrial/Multifamily Uses
Application fee of $30.00 plus,
$12.00 per thousand dollars estimated cost of the construction based on the R.S. Means Guidebook.
This schedule shall include construction of/on all other buildings or parts thereof which are not single and two family dwellings.
(Minimum fee of $200.00)
Accessory Structures:
Coal/pellet/wood stove: $50.00 flat fee
Sheds: $50.00 (over 121 square feet or larger) flat fee
Pools: In-ground - $50.00 flat fee
Above-ground - $40.00 flat fee
Standard Fees: In addition to the above application fee.
Amusements, Carnivals, Circus - $100.00
Foundation only - $125.00 (not deductible)
Moving a building - $250.00
Temporary tent - $60.00
Temporary trailer - $125.00
Amendments to existing permit - $30.00 minimum plus value of work
Renewal of permit - $60.00 (flat fee)
Replacement of "lost" permit card - $20.00 (flat fee)
Certificates of Inspection - SBC, Table 106, plus $10.00 each
($50.00 minimum each)
Certificates of Occupancy - 25% of permit fee or $30.00 minimum
Pre-permit plan reviews (if application is withdrawn or denied)
One/two family - $25.00
Business/Industrial/Multifamily - $100.00
Fire Alarm Permits - $25.00 initial plus $1.00 each device
Sprinkler Permits - $25.00 initial plus $1.00 each device
Home Occupations - $25.00 each
Paving Interpretations - $30.00 each
Signs - $4.00 square foot for each face
Shopping Cart By-law violations - reserved
