ANNUAL REPORT OF THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
For the year of 2007 the Board received 41 new applications for relief from the zoning bylaws, including one 40 B Comprehensive Permit (South Village), which has been continued into 2008. Several of the forty- one required more than one hearing. We also had ten other petitions that were held over from 2006. We also signed a transfer of the Roseland Properties 276 apartments to Avalon Bay; they are due to pull their permits in January of 2008. We will then be able to count them towards the 10% the town needs.
In 2008 with Rosemount 120 and Avalon Bay 276 we will exceed our 10 %.
The Board members attendance for the year 2007 (there were 45 meetings held):
Nancy Fahey 44, Irene Romano 44, Marjorie Sarofeen 15, Jack Hill 44, Simeon Korisky 24
Alternates: Jim Aldred 27, Damian Wilmot 3, Lou Vigoda 39, George Berdos 44.
Many thanks are extended to the staff of the Selectmen, our liaison Selectman Bill Alexopoulos, and Diane Higgins our secretary. Also, to the staff of Accountant, Assessors, Engineering, Treasurer and Town Clerk’s Office, and the Executive Secretary, Building Department and Legal Counsel for the assistance provided throughout the year.
I wish to thank the members of the Board for their time and dedication to the Town of Randolph, especially now that we are meeting every week so that we will be able to serve the Town more efficiently.
Respectfully submitted,
