Randolph Seeks New Volunteers for New Government

Town Manager-appointee Dave Murphy is seeking Randolph residents to serve on the town’s boards, committees, and commissions.  Residents who have an interest in participating in the operation of local government through service on a municipal board can send an email or letter to Murphy indicating an interest to serve.

Residents can contact Murphy at dmurphy@randolph-ma.gov or via mail at 41 South Main Street, Randolph, MA  02368.

“The change in government provides us an opportunity to reach out to people that have not been involved and may want to help participate in local government,” said Murphy.  “There are opportunities to serve on a variety of boards and committees and we hope to mix experienced members with an infusion of new perspectives.”

The average committee meets once or twice a month for two to four hours in the evening.  Some boards require members to do advance prep work or site visits based on the issues before the committee.

Added Murphy, “Public service is a rewarding opportunity for residents to help shape the future of our community.  Randolph is moving strongly in the right direction and I hope that many residents would be interested in helping shape the town’s future success.”
